About Windsor Gardens
Windsor Gardens is the largest active adult living community in Denver for retirees and residents age 55 and older. With an on-site activities coordinator, Windsor Gardens gives a new name to “active,” with trips, classes, events and activities always on the schedule. Residents are never without something to do! This community includes 24/7 patrolling community responders, trained in all emergency response.
Windsor Gardens was established as the first active adult community of its kind in Colorado with the first buildings completed in the fourth quarter of 1962. Windsor Gardens Association is a Colorado corporation formed in 1972 to take over the management of Windsor Gardens. Control of the homeowner’s association was completed in May 1973. The Windsor Gardens Association assumed the additional management of the Community Center and Golf Course in 1981. The Windsor Gardens complex consists of 143 acres, upon which are situated 72 buildings; 2688 units: 48 four story condominiums 20 two story condominiums, 4 townhouse sections of eight units each.

The community features a variety of amenities to allow residents to stay active. Windsor Gardens has upgraded and modern facilities such as an indoor/outdoor pool, fitness center, hobby rooms, aerobics studio, clubhouse activities and a 9-hole golf course. Residents can enjoy the beautiful surroundings on a designated six-acre nature trail and 143 acres of well-groomed grounds. An on-site library and restaurant lend to the community feel of Windsor Gardens.

Windsor Gardens is the only active adult community of its kind in the city of Denver and one of the most affordable in the Denver-metro area. The entrance is located in central Denver, close to the Denver International Airport and downtown museums and attractions.
Available Homes
Prospective residents have a wide range of homes from which to choose. From 720 to 2,400 square feet and one to four bedrooms, there is a home for everyone’s needs. There are 48 four-story buildings with elevator service, 10 of which have underground parking and the rest have detached parking lots. Additionally there are 20 two-story condo buildings with no elevators and detached parking lots, and 32 attached townhouses.
